The Traveler
By Bittersweet Soulseeker
While I was in a forest,
I saw you there standing straight
You stared at me and gave a smile
Saying, “My dear, just give it a try.
I suppressed my tears and tried not to cry.
Trying to pursue the dream I had,
I walked again with open heart,
And with open mind I listened to you
Engraving the wise words I heard from you
While learning the skills needed to pursue.
Then we walked together, hand in hand
Until we reached a river bank,
There, you taught me to ford a river,
To be determined and to be a positive thinker.
And then I learnt I might go on,
A river was not a hindrance towards my goal.
I walked again, now on my own
Towards the pillar of my goal,
With the picturesque of the City of Success.
And now the traveler is near the gate
Holding firmly to her endless faith.
